back from genting

i'm back from genting!! surprisingly, we weren't as bored as we thought we might be, given that we had to spend the entire weekend there... summary below... timing are approximates...

28/10
9pm - met at golden mile plaza to take the 10pm bus up to genting... din really sleep alot, cos the air-con was like trying to freeze all of us even before the weather in genting could... ended up having a runny nose even though i did take clarinase before i attempted to sleep...

29/10
5.30am - reached genting... walked from the bus terminal at First World hotel to Genting hotel where we were staying... went to joreen's parents room to wash up since they practically spend all the time in the casino... couldn't check-in to our own room until after 12pm...

6.30am - napped for abt 1hr before hitting the breakfast buffet...

10am - after breakfast, went to check out the casino, but only played the jackpot machine since there's nothing much that interest us... spent probably, the most, 2hrs there...

12pm - went back to check-in to our room... took turns bathing... while waiting for our turns, napped some more...

2pm - went to the outdoor themepark after that... shannie and i managed to psycho joreen and junli to take the small roller-coaster with us (the 2 of them are terrified of thriller rides), but din get them to take the really scary Top Gun (where we're lifted to the top of a high tower and dropped down)...

4.30pm - went to check out movie times at the First World cinema... intending to catch midnight show...

6pm - went back to the hotel room to wash up for dinner... while waiting for our turns, napped some more...

7pm - had a nice dinner with joreen's parents and her 2 aunties at a chinese restuarant... thanks to them for treating us... ^_^.``

8.30pm - went back to First World to shop... found out that Vincci was having sale when we were checking out the movies... shannie bought ALOT of shoes!! heehee... shannie, i shall not expose how many u bought...

but i'm sad! cos i only managed to buy 1 pair even though i saw alot that i liked... it's not good being a size 7 in malaysia... i lost count of the number of times the salesperson said they dun haf a size 7...

10pm - bought tickets for andy lau's latest movie... 1.15am show... still had alot of time after shopping, so had drinks and cake at coffee bean...

30/10
12am - still had time before the show started... ran out of things to do at First World... so went back to the hotel room to put our stuff, or rather shannie's stuff... waiting for time to pass, napped abit more...

1am - walked back to First World for the movie... though half-expecting all of us to sleep in the theatre, we managed to watch through the show, and even cry alittle at the sad ending... according to joreen, shannie started crying 10min into the movie...

3am - finally, went to bed...

9am - woke up... by the time we went down for breakfast, it was already past 10am... and we had to wait another 20min before we managed to get a table at the dim sum restuarant... dim sum wasn't fantastic, but it was the only time i could eat pork throughout the whole trip...

1pm - checked out of the hotel... another round of coffee at coffee bean before heading to the bus terminal for our 2.30pm bus... this time, managed to sleep throughout the whole bus journey...

reached sg at 8.15pm... reached home at 9.30pm...

----------------------------------------------------

wat i learned from the trip...

1) rem to bring a thicker jacket, or better yet a nose mask, when taking night buses...
2) bring more clarinase... 3 tablets is definitely not enough... esp if nobody else brings...
3) really, everyone goes crazy when they're sleep-deprived...
4) shannie cries more than i do... (can imagine how bad she is with all her korean dramas)
5) junli din open her eyes the entire time she was taking the roller-coaster ride... where's the thrill?!
6) whenever we're in the hotel room, we'll always be napping...
7) Vision 4 (the hotel channel) is only has 1 movie a day... on sat, it was spiderman... the scary part was, every time we switched the tv on, we were always always at the same scene...

but all in all, it was a fun trip... it's short, but fun... next yr, we should plan for a longer one... maybe bangkok or something... heehee...
